Why hasn’t the 30 day mascara worked?

There could be many reasons why the dye hasn’t given you the results you expected:

  • The dye cream and developer liquid have not been mixed properly. Make sure you mix the dye cream and liquid together using the mixing wand for several minutes so it is a good consistency and doesn’t drip.
  • The dye kit has been left somewhere too cold or too warm. It needs to be stored at room temperature (22ºc) otherwise the effectiveness of the dye mix will be halved for every 10ºc above or below room temperature.
  • The hairs being dyed were not clean enough or an oil based make up remover was used to remove makeup.
  • The use of some medicines and other chemical substances can affect the hairs and make them more difficult to dye.

Can I dye my eyebrows?

Of course! The dye can be used on your eyebrow hairs in the same way that you use it on your lashes, just be sure to only leave the dye on for 1-2 minutes as the hair will change colour much more quickly. Do not use on eyebrows that have been plucked in the last 72 hours.

How do I remove Colorsport mascara?

Colorsport 30 day mascara is an eyelash and eyebrow dye, once you have dyed your lashes, you cannot remove the colour, you will have to wait for the hairs to naturally fall out which can take 30+ days

How can I avoid dying hairs that I don’t want to colour?

Simply apply a barrier (Vaseline works well) to the skin and hair around the area to ensure that they do not get dyed as well.

How does Colorsport work?

Colorsport 30 day mascara works in the same way as a hair dye, therefore it is important to protect fabric and furnishings during the dying process and always patch test first.

Why do I need to do a patch test

Many hair dyes contain an ingredient which some people may develop an allergy too, severe allergic reactions are extremely rare but for your own protection, the instructions tell you to do a patch test before each application.  You should follow the instructions and do the patch test 48 hours before you want to dye your lashes.

My eyes sting when I remove the dye, how can I avoid this?

Unfortunately, this is sometimes an inevitable part of the process and even the most skilful beauticians find they have the same problem when removing the dye cream from their clients. Try to remove as much of the dye cream as possible with a cotton bud first and have a couple of dampened cotton wool pads ready to wipe off the rest of the dye.

Can I use Colorsport whilst I am pregnant?

There is no reason why you cannot use Colorsport when you are pregnant, this is really down to personal preference. As with most cosmetic products, Colorsport contains chemicals, which can enter the body through contact with your skin, but the actual amount is extremely small.

Please remember, we recommend that you do a patch test 48 hours before you wish to dye your lashes; please consult your doctor if you are unsure or have any concerns.
